SONIC BOOM - Festival of New Music

https://www.firehallartscentre.ca/event/sonic-boom-festival/

This festival is a celebration of new music being written by local composers. I’m performing in an innovative new piece by Joanne Na, titled, “a æ u ɔ ɪ”. The piece is based on Philippians 4:13, a Bible verse that says, “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.” For me, the piece depicts the many highs and lows of life, and how my faith has been a pillar to me throughout it all.

The Medium - OperOttawa

I am going to be performing in the upcoming concert production of The Medium, presented by OperOttawa. It's a contemporary English opera, dealing with the connection between the spiritual occult and mental illness. My character is the refreshing, bubbly and innocent Monica, who gets caught up in the mess of the adult world around her. It's a fun way to take in some beautiful music, the weekend before Halloween.

Tickets are available from me in advance for $12 or $15 at the door. Please contact me and I will connect you with tickets. I look forward to seeing you there!

Romeo and Juliet

Maria Bamford is performing the roles of Lady Montague and Capulet in Toy Guns Dance Theatre's production of Romeo and Juliet, the greatest love story ever to be misunderstood in a junior high English class, mildly redeemed by Leonardo DiCaprio before finally coalescing upon middle aged reflection of a passionate early adulthood mistake. The production features ballet, hip hop, swing dance, and contemporary dance forms and is a comic and profound take on the classic love story.
